Blackberry Update: Tuesday, 5/16/2006

Blackberry got his pins and halos removed today. He has a splint and a soft cast to aid his recovery. The external pins have been giving Berry a minor infection. So this should close all the wounds and eleminate all the infection. It will probably be another 2 weeks before the splint is removed and Berry can begin his rehab. Blackberry has been doing a lot better with the splint. His energy level is up and seems to be in less discomfort. Will keep you all posted.

Here is a picture of the new and improved Blackberry. He really walks like a pirate now! Arrrr!

Berry is still getting used to his splint. Because the tip was very slippery, we had to stick some felt down for a little more traction.
